Sun Terrace
The Sun Terrace in the heart of San Francisco’s downtown is a 15,000 raised plaza constructed over an existing brick parking structure. Partnered with the adjacent 27-story Delta Dental building, this plaza was specifically designed to optimize available sun creating a vitalized space used for formal and informal events and including a specially commissioned “water wall” – part of the City’s urban art program. The Sun terrace received one of a limited number of National Awards presented at the White House by the American Association of Nurserymen for outstanding landscape design in 1990.
