Paradise Valley Resort

Designed originally for Loews Hotels, Mr. Burr provided site planning and landscape architectural design for the Paradise Valley Resort – a 400-room resort hotel in a residential area near Scottsdale, AZ. Through the center of the resort, in four garden courtyards nearly 700’ long, we created an oasis of some 130 mature date palms, anchored by two swimming pools/spas, sunken six feet to ensure privacy from adjacent rooms. Access to rooms was via separate patios with trickling water features to provide a cooling and rejuvenating atmosphere. Included was a 5,200sf dining terrace and a presidential suite with its own private pool terrace.
