Beringer Winery

Founded in 1876, the Beringer Winery is the oldest continuously operating winery in California’s Napa Valley. Mr. Burr’s office provided site planning for the renovation of the historic grounds and developed detailed designs for projects in several phases including the historic Hudson House and Beringer’s Administrative Offices. Key elements included new visitor parking and drop-off areas, a tour orientation plaza and public tour route with a specially commissioned fountain sculpture by Ruth Ozawa, as well as renovation of the private event gardens. It was recognized with a National Award presented at the White House by the American Association of Nurserymen for outstanding landscape design in 1990.
